How to Welcome Angels to Your Home
Angels are all around us. Whether it is the archangels or our guardian angels, we are always surrounded by them. But, unless we invite them in, they will always be on the fringes. You don't have to be religious in order to invite angels into your home, and into your life.
Today we are going to talk about how to invite angels into your home, as well as what to do before, during, and after their stay. Let's get started.
Believe in the Angels
Before you can welcome angels into your home, you need to be able to welcome them into your heart. Open your mind to the existence of angels. Think about any experiences you may have already had with angels, even if you didn't realize it at the time. Eliminate all doubt from your mind, and welcome the angels into your life.
Don't forget to make time to learn about guardian angels and the archangels. The more you know about them, the more open to them you will become.
Set Up an Altar Space
You will need to have a quiet space in your home where you can be relaxed while you call upon the angels for their help and guidance. Choose a room where you can have total peace and quiet, with the exception of some music that will help you to relax. You should have a cozy area where you can be comfortable. The more relaxed you are, the easier it is going to be to communicate with angels.
Once you have chosen your spot, it is important to set up a small altar. This can be as small as an end table, so don't worry if you don't have a lot of space to work with. Once you have a table ready, follow these steps:
1. Place a White Flower on the Altar
Go to your local florist or supermarket and get a white flower. It is even better if you can pick a flower yourself. Remember to only pick from your own garden, or a wild flower.
2. Light a Candle
You will need to have a candle that you can keep lit, except while you are sleeping or not at home. For safety reasons, you can use a battery-operated candle, but for the last day, it should be a real one with an actual flame.
3. Make 3 Wishes
Write a short letter with three wishes. Place it in an envelope, seal it, and then place the envelope beside the candle and the flower. Keep the wishes simple. The angels will work out the details.
4. Place an Apple or other Food on the Envelope
Place an apple or another food that you think will suit the purpose better on top of the sealed envelope. Once the angels leave, you can eat the apple or whatever you have put on the altar.
5. Clean House
You are asking angels to visit, and they should be treated like welcomed guests in your home. So, make sure your home is neat and tidy, just as you would if human company was stopping by.
Call on Your Angels
Once you have your home and mind prepared for the arrival of your angels, it is time to invite them in. Ask them to come into your home, using any wording that is comfortable for you. Also, ask them to do certain jobs, such as protecting your home, helping you to have peace of mind, etc. Then, follow these steps:
Place Crystals and Stones – Try to use dream crystals, such as celestite, angelite, or selenite. They will help to welcome the angels into your home and life.
Use Prisms or Light Defectors – Because angels are made of divine light, they are often seen as many different colors of light. So, put out prisms or suncatchers that will catch and reflect that light.
Place Flowers – Angels often identify themselves through flowers, such as irises, jasmine, daisies, gardenia, and daffodils. Have these or other highly fragrant flowers in your home.
Have an Angel Figurine – An angel figurine is a sign of your respect for the angels, and it shows them that they are welcome in your home, and they will spend more time there.
Use Fragrant Essential Oils – You can often sense the presence of angels through certain smells, and they are attracted to these smells. Use fragrant oils such as mint or rosemary to let the angels know they are welcome.
Hang Bells and Chimes – Angels can be called with bells, and many people say they hear bells ringing when angels are near. You can use bells, wind chimes, or singing bowls for this purpose.
Put Out the Welcome Mat – Finally, find an item that symbolizes the angelic realm, at least to you. Place that object in a window or doorway to let the angels know they are welcome. Then, when it is time, verbalize your intent to welcome them into your home.
While the Angels are There
For the five days that the angels will be in your home, sit and talk with them. Pray to them and with them. Meditate and ask them to give you strength and insight. If you are contacting the archangels, remember that they are there to help all humanity, and you will be helping them to do this. Use the next five days to work with the angels for the betterment of your life, and for the betterment of all.
When the Angels Leave
After five days, the angels will leave. Just before it is that time, light a candle, go outside, and thank the angels for being there with you. Wish them luck on their own journeys back to where they came from, and let them know how grateful you are for their presence in your life. You can say the words however it is most comfortable for you, whether it is a prayer or something coming from your own heart. Then, send the angels to someone else who needs them.
A Letter to the Archangel
If you want to invite the archangels into your home and life, there are many ways to go about doing this. In addition to preparing your home and setting up an altar, it is often recommended that you write a letter to the archangels. This is a wonderful way to express your feelings, and it is something that is becoming a lost art. Writing letters is not only a way to communicate with angels, but also a great way to preserve this art for future generations.
Let's take a look at why you should write a letter to the archangels, and how to go about doing it.
Why Write a Letter?
The archangels are always going to be there for you, and all you need to do is reach out and ask for their help and guidance. Writing a letter to the archangels is one way to really communicate with them and ask for their help and guidance.
Often, the archangels will come to us through dreams. After writing your letter, be sure to get plenty of sleep. The better you sleep, the better the chances are of being able to remember your dreams and interpret any messages sent by the archangels.
If you are looking for a way to thank the archangels for their help, a letter is a great way to do it. It is easier to write down your thoughts rather than speak them aloud. This is also going to make it easier for the archangels to hear you.
Getting Started
Write the letter as if you were writing a letter to anyone. Begin by putting the archangel's name on the top corner of the page. Be sure to add a line that says the letter is from you, and put the current date on the letter.
Now, begin with a salutation, such as “Dear Archangel Michael”, followed by what you wish to say to the archangel. This could be something you are asking for, or simply to let the archangels know that you wish to communicate with them.
Chances are, you are going to feel the presence of the archangel(s) while you are writing. Remember, whether you realize it or not, they are always nearby, and they are always watching and protecting you. If you have questions, ask them in your letter.
This is a personal letter, so we can't exactly tell you what to say. But, you will already have the words in your heart. All you have to do is put them down on paper. At the end of the letter, remember to thank the archangels, and tell them that you love them. Then, sign the letter and put it away for safe keeping. Or, you can even burn the letter during a candle ritual.
